Performance Plants or “Super Plants”

Plants have always been used as food and as material for fuel, shelter, and other products. Likewise, plants have been always used as medicine. Nowadays, aside from these traditional uses, there are some plants considered performance plants or “super plants” for their ability to clean the air. Similar to early practices of men and women in the medieval times of carrying fragrant flowers, these plants help people breathe easier. Plants like the weeping fig take up pollutants or contaminants from their air through their leaves. These kinds of plants are known to absorb air pollutants and other irritants more efficiently than other plants.
