A Response To “ROI: Why iPads Make Lousy Christmas Gifts”

Buying a product based on someone else’s profit margins is a stupid bit of teen advice. Buy an item if the value proposition is attractive to you!!! Apple makes better products, easier to use, less prone to problems – and for many people that’s a reason to pay more. I’d rather have 1 mac than 2 PC’s, 1 iPod than 2 of most of the competitors. I use those devices daily, and the few additional cents per day they cost feels like it provides a benefit to me.

You’ve made a few good points here about waiting, but largely, you’re just a whiner Brett. Wake up – nobody is forcing consumers to buy these items. The lines are long because the products are simply WAY above average.
